Introduction- 'about me'

First of all thanks for stopping, My name is Jessica and I'm currently studying Wildlife Biology in Tralee. I originally created this blog a few years ago to talk about my love of gardening and basically keep an online log of what I was doing on the plot. I still have that section 'Latest posts' (currently under 'construction) |
My two other big passions are photography and nature; the biodiversity of Ireland, especially in my home county Kerry. We are truly blessed with vast green landscapes and wild cliffs that keep even the locals in awe of their consistent beauty no matter the weather.
As I'm studying wildlife biology, I love nothing more then taking off into the woods/hiking with my dogs and taking in the beauty as well as learning/recording the flora/fauna that surrounds us. This where the 'Irish biodiversity' section comes in which is divided into flora and fauna- the latter mainly invertebrates at the moment.
As I love photography, my aim is to take photos of any species, plant or animal that I do/don't know and identifying it. It's mainly going to be an online record for me, but I hope others can learn something new too, as I do. I'm still only a student so I'm always learning, if anyone sees any errors please correct me/point them out.
I also then have a section just for photography. I truly love where I live and I wish everyone could wake up and experience the views I see on a daily basis, not a day goes by that I take the views for granted. I've also been very fortunate in that as part of my course, I have been on a variety of fieldtrips to many beautiful locations so I want to share these as well.
I have a Facebook paged called 'The Nature Of Kerry' which is going to link in with all three (photography, Irish biodiversity and gardening) so as Mrs Doyle would say "Go on" and give it a like!
